This is a direct appeal from the sentence of death imposed on appellant by the Court of Common Pleas of Lancaster County. *fn1 On October 4, 1997, following a jury trial, appellant was convicted of first-degree murder. *fn2 After a penalty hearing, the jury found one aggravating circumstance and no mitigating circumstances and, therefore, returned a sentencing verdict of death. *fn3 Post-verdict motions were filed and denied and the trial court formally imposed the death penalty. On appeal, appellant raises six claims, many of which have multiple subparts. For the reasons that follow, we affirm the judgment of sentence.
